Presbyterian Medical Services (PMS) – Artesia Family Health Center welcomes Maria Go, MD, to its medical team. Go is accepting new patients at 575-746-9848. The Center is located at 1105 Memorial Drive in Artesia and offers medical, behavioral health, and dental services.
Go joined the PMS team six years ago, she comes to Artesia from PMS’ Alamogordo Family Health Center. Her original interest in medicine grew from her desire to serve the underserved and to interact with people from all walks of life. She decided to come to PMS because of its non-profit status and its commitment to serving those in need.
Go earned her medical degree at Divine Word University in Tacloban City, Philippines. She earned her Bachelor’s degree in Medical Technology from the same university. Go is board certified in Family Medicine and completed medical residency programs at the University of the Philippines, Roger Williams Medical Center in Providence, Rhode Island, and Eastern Virginia Medical School in Norfolk.
Prior to joining PMS, she served for eight years as a Center Clinical Director with Eastern Shore Rural Health System in Virginia. From 1996 to 2001, she was a hospitalist for the Saudi Aramco Medical Services Organization in Dhahran, Saudi Arabia. Originally from the Philippines, Go is fluent in Tagolog and also speaks some Spanish.
As with all PMS federally qualified health centers, Artesia Family Health Center is not-for-profit and accredited by The Joint Commission. The Center does not turn away any patient due to lack of insurance or financial status. Payment options include Medicare, Medicaid, and most private insurance.
