Catron County Medical Center welcomes Karen Hillis, FNP, a family nurse practitioner to its team. Hillis was very interested in working with patients of all ages, especially those in a high needs area.
“My goal is to provide quality, evidence-based care for all of my patients and to treat everyone with kindness, compassion and respect,” said Hillis.
Hillis earned her Master of Science in Nursing with a clinical specialty of Family Nurse Practitioner from Samford University in Birmingham, Alabama, and a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from the University of Texas in Tyler, Texas. Additionally, she received a Bachelor of Science in Zoology and a Master of Science in Microbiology from Northwestern State University in Natchitoches, Louisiana.
Hillis is accepting new patients at 575-533-6456. Catron County Medical Center is located at 1 Foster Lane in Reserve. As with all PMS federally qualified health centers, it is not-for-profit and accredited by The Joint Commission. The Center does not turn away any patient due to lack of insurance or financial status. Payment options include Medicare, Medicaid, and most private insurance.
