Presbyterian Medical Services (PMS) – Quay County Family Health Center welcomes Myla Mirdo to its medical team. Mirdo is a Nurse Practitioner and is accepting new patients at 575-461-2200. The Center is located at 1302 East Main Street in Tucumcari and offers primary care services.
“I cannot wait to meet my patients and collaborate with them so we both can reach their health goals,” said Mirdo of what she’s looking forward to in her new position. She also noted that she wants to serve the underserved and minorities, which is why she chose to work for PMS.
Mirdo is a member of the American Association of Nurse Practitioners and the Association of Oklahoma NP. She speaks Tagalog and some Spanish. Mirdo earned her Master of Science as a Family Nurse Practitioner from Maryville University in St. Louis, Missouri. She earned a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from the University of Oklahoma in Tulsa, Oklahoma and a Bachelor of Science in Microbiology from Oklahoma State University in Stillwater, Oklahoma.
“I have always pursued increasing my knowledge and serving others and I thought this career would be a better platform to help patients improve their healthcare,” Mirdo said about why she chose to become a Nurse Practitioner.
As with all PMS federally qualified health centers, Quay County Family Health Center is not-for-profit and accredited by The Joint Commission. The Center does not turn away any patient due to lack of insurance or financial status. Payment options include Medicare, Medicaid, and most private insurance.
