Ruidoso Behavioral Health Center welcomes mental health therapist Naomi Lopez to its team. Lopez became a mental health therapist to learn new skills in behavioral and mental health and provide services in New Mexico’s rural communities.
“I look forward to learning about the cultural aspects of Ruidoso and providing quality mental health services to the community,” said Lopez.
Lopez earned her Master of Social Work and Bachelor of Social Work from New Mexico State University in Las Cruces. She enjoys working with children, adolescents, and adults in a culturally diverse manner. She has previous experience providing care in corrections, substance abuse, and rape crisis centers, as well as psychiatric care. Her areas of interest include substance abuse, post-traumatic stress disorder, sexual abuse, anger management, and severe mental health issues.
Lopez is accepting new patients at 575-630-0571. Ruidoso Behavioral Health Center is located at 1400 Sudderth Drive in Ruidoso. As with all PMS federally qualified health centers, it is not-for-profit and accredited by The Joint Commission. The Center does not turn away any patient due to lack of insurance or financial status. Payment options include Medicare, Medicaid, and most private insurance.
