Martin received her Bachelor of Science Degree from Evangel University in Springfield, MO and her Master’s Degree in Physician Assistant Studies from Butler University in Indianapolis, IN. She is trained as an EMT. Martin is a member of the American Association of Physician Assistants and the Civil Air Patrol in Alamogordo.

She grew up in a “medical family” with her father having made a career as a pathologist while her mother worked as a nurse. Following a stint with an inpatient psychiatric hospital, Martin decided she wanted to pursue a career in medicine. Her husband is with the United States Air Force and is stationed at Holloman Air Force Base in Alamogordo.

“I’ve always enjoyed serving the underserved,” Martin said of her arrival at Alamogordo Family Health Center. “I feel very fortunate to be able to do that in my own backyard. I accepted the position with Presbyterian Medical Services after doing research on the organization then meeting the staff at the health center.”
