About Kristin

I'm originally from California, I received my Doctor of Osteopathy degree from the College of Osteopathic Medicine of the Pacific in Pomona, CA. After medical school, I completed my specialty training in Family Medicine at Sonoma County Hospital in Santa Rosa, CA. I chose family medicine because of its broad spectrum of practice, its focus on continuity of care, and its emphasis on developing relationships with patients, families, and communities over time. Because of my interest in prevention and population health, I would later obtain a Master of Public Health degree from Emory University in Atlanta, Georgia.

I have spent most of my career in the Southwest working for the Indian Health Service. I lived and worked on the Navajo Reservation in Northern Arizona for 17 years, and most recently on the Jicarilla Reservation in Dulce, NM. I found this to be an amazing and wonderful experience and feel lucky to have had the opportunity to be a family doctor to those she served during that time.

I discovered Presbyterian Medical Services when I helped provide needed temporary coverage at both the Cuba Health Center and the Santa Fe Family Wellness Center. I was quickly impressed with the organization, its mission, and the dedicated people who make it work. When an opportunity became available at the Questa Health Center, I was ready to join! I enjoy getting to know my patients and the community of Questa and I'm thankful for such a super team of co-workers.

When I'm not working, I love hiking, cycling, cooking, camping, and reading. Being in the outdoors, surrounded by nature, feeds my soul and helps keep me balanced.
