Pamela Garfield, Psychiatric-Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner)



Garfield is a native New Mexican who first began her studies at the University of New Mexico in Albuquerque, where she earned a Bachelor’s Degree in University Studies. She graduated from New Mexico State University with a Master’s of Science in Nursing.


Of her chosen profession, Garfield said she most enjoys listening to others to address their specific problems.

“I enjoy walking with my clients through their challenges,” Garfield said, adding, “I [also] admire the Presbyterian Medical Services values, among them respect, team concept, and excellence.”

Prior to joining Presbyterian Medical Services, Garfield held various positions in the medical field in Albuquerque. She also served as a school nurse for the Rio Rancho Public School District.

In her free time, Garfield looks forward to time with family, including barbecues, horseback riding, and picking apples. She believes that her most cherished moments in life are those spent with her family.
