Prior to joining the team at Presbyterian Medical Services, Dr. Ayala provided medical services at the University of Texas Health Science Center in San Antonio. Originally from Michoacan, Mexico, Dr. Ayala went back to his hometown to volunteer at a rural clinic offering health screenings and patient education.
“I decided to become a doctor for several reasons. I always enjoyed talking to different people. During my studies, I developed a keen interest in the science of the human body. I wanted to learn as much as possible about disease and to use that knowledge to help those in need. Presbyterian Medical Services made me feel at home right from the beginning. I like the fact that I’m going to help patients from different backgrounds. Along with the team at RRFHC, I’ll be delivering excellent healthcare to those who need it most. Throughout my academic career, I’ve been helped by so many people. Now it’s my time to give back.”
Dr. Ayala loves traveling and outdoor activities. Dr. Ayala has a special fondness for languages. He is fluent in Spanish, English and French and is planning on learning Portuguese and Italian.
