In addition to hospital and clinical settings, Mrs. Sherrell has served as a medical professional in an acute dialysis center, assisted living/long-term care center, and in home health and hospice care.
Mrs. Sherrell said she looks forward to meeting new challenges and growing in her chosen profession. She made the change to mental health following almost two decades in nursing as she said she observed an unmet need.
“I wanted to continue my education so I could be of more help to the people with the greatest need in my community,” she said. “Presbyterian Medical Services seemed to be the place where I could advance my goal of helping those with mental health conditions.”
A native of the area, Mrs. Sherrell is married and has two daughters, and a grandson. She enjoys traveling and showing her Great Danes at national dog shows, in addition to spending quality time with her family.
