Yadira Cabrera, CNP



Ms. Cabrera received her Master of Science Family Nurse Practitioner Degree from the University of Texas in El Paso. Her Bachelor of Science Degree in Nursing was also obtained at the University of Texas where she graduated with Cum Laude honors.


Ms. Cabrera is a Certified Nurse Practitioner providing direct care to children and adults in the community of Chaparral, NM.  She is fluent in Spanish and grew up in the neighboring community of El Paso, TX.

 “I chose Presbyterian Medical Services because it serves underserved patient populations,” Ms. Cabrera said on arrival. “Ever since I was a child I wanted to be in the medical field. I worked in emergency services for six years and am looking forward to serving the rural, under-served community of Chaparral – helping to improve overall patient care by educating patients and helping them achieve their healthcare goals.”

As a registered nurse, Ms. Cabrera worked largely in hospital settings. Her practice has extended from adult and geriatric health care to pediatric care and emergency care. She is a member of the American Family of Nurse Practitioners and is certified as a Family Nurse Practitioner in both Texas and New Mexico.
