The Parent Education / Home Visiting Program serves parents and caregivers of children through five years of age. This includes adoptive and teen parents, as well as expectant parents. The goals are to provide educational services and child development guidance; to ensure that babies are born healthy; children are physically, emotionally, and mentally healthy; children are safe; children and parents have a nurturing relationship; the parents and caregivers are connected to formal and informal supports in the community; and children are ready for school. This program is built on the belief that a parent is their child’s first and most important teacher.
