Primary Care

At Presbyterian Medical Services, your family’s health is our primary concern. To that end, we provide chronic illness care for illnesses like diabetes, high blood pressure and asthma, acute illness care, preventive medicine, family planning, women’s health, wellness physicals and screenings.

Our health centers offer a safety net of medical care for thousands of New Mexicans of all ages. When possible, Presbyterian Medical Services provides medical, dental and behavioral health services in the same facility, creating a continuum of care spanning across healthcare professions. It also makes our patients' lives a little easier.

What's more, Presbyterian Medical Services school-based health centers are model programs throughout New Mexico.

Presbyterian Medical Services is accredited by the Joint Commission, signifying achievement of the highest standard of performance in the industry. Presbyterian Medical Services has achieved certification through Joint Commission as a Primary Care Medical Home (PCMH). PCMH is a way of organizing primary care that emphasizes care coordination and communication to transform primary care into "what patients want it to be."

Everyone is eligible to receive Presbyterian Medical Services community health center services. We accept Medicaid, Medicare and private insurance. For the uninsured, a sliding fee scale is available based on income. Our health care guides provide on-site Medicaid or Health Insurance Marketplace enrollment assistance.
