Presbyterian Medical Services - San Juan County Adolescent Residential Treatment Center is a 16-bed psychiatric residential treatment facility for boys and girls ages 13-17 who are suffering with a wide range of emotional and behavioral problems. Adolescents served have either a behavioral disorder or a behavioral disorder co-occurring with substance abuse. To meet the criteria for admission, the teen must have tried less restrictive forms of intervention with little to no progress; enter the program from a more restrictive form of care; or enter the program through a court order in conjunction with probation requirements. SJCARTC is the only provider of comprehensive, residential-based mental health and substance abuse services for adolescents in the Four Corners region. SJCARTC is accredited by the Joint Commission and is CYFD licensed.
