About Juliana
I grew up in the small town of Magdalena, New Mexico, where a strong sense of community taught me the value of connection and service. I always knew I wanted to give back but wasn’t sure how. After high school, I started studying nursing, but an introductory psychology class changed everything. I became fascinated by the mind and the impact of mental health on daily life. The COVID-19 pandemic prompted me to reflect on what truly mattered, and I realized my passion lay in mental health. I switched majors, earned my bachelor’s degree in psychology, and went on to pursue a master's in clinical Mental Health Counseling. During my graduate program, I interned at Socorro Mental Health for three semesters, working with clients from diverse backgrounds. That experience reinforced the importance of accessible mental health care in rural communities like ours. Today, I’m proud to serve the region that raised me, help others, and give back to the community.
