About Katrina

Hello there, I’m Katrina. I was born and raised in Michigan and fell in love with the New Mexico skyline while visiting as a teen. Many Michigan winters later I moved to the southwest after earning a bachelor’s & master’s degree in social work. I have experience working with children with DD, HeadStart programs, adults in a detox and recovery setting and families in an outpatient setting. I have been working with Presbyterian Medical services since 2015 helping the children, teens and parents in a community-based setting. I tend to use a strong CBT base with explorations in somatic activities and art directives to empower individuals to explore their own thoughts and goals. I am also trained in Motivational Interviewing, DBT, EMDR and harm reduction.

Areas of Interest

I spend my time out of work with my partner and two children. I'm into yoga, bouldering, gardening, walking outside, chocolate, sitting in a hammock and watching TV. I pick up small pieces of trash I see everywhere I go; it slows me down. I believe in housing, feeding, and providing healthcare to all who need it. I tend to take time off in the summers to maintain a work life balance and be with my children. I tend to take time off in the summers to maintain a work life balance and be with my children.
