Kayla Carrillo, LMSW

I am a Licensed Master of Social Work (LMSW) with 2 years of professional experience, and 6 years of educational and leadership experience related to the field of social work. I have worked with a variety of individuals, both adults and children, facing mental and behavioral health challenges, suicidal ideation, discrimination, homelessness, physical ailments, etc.

I joined PMS in September 2023 at the Espanola Family Wellness Center because I enjoy working with the North Central New Mexico community, and I have a lifelong connection to the area and people. I am beginning the process to obtain my Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), and I look forward to developing my therapeutic implementation skillset. I am passionate about Cognitive Behavior Therapy (CBT) and motivational interviewing methods, and I take a person-centered approach to help clients reach their therapy goals which will allow for lasting change to be carried out beyond therapy.
