About Maggie Rose
I am a Licensed Master's Social Worker and Adult Mental Health Therapist who approaches therapy through a patient-centered, strengths-based lens. I strive to create a welcoming, culturally responsive environment where clients feel seen, heard, and empowered. Drawing from an eclectic range of therapeutic approaches, I believe that authentic human connection is at the heart of healing and that each person is the expert on their own life and healing journey. Born and raised in Santa Fe, New Mexico, I received the New Mexico Davis Scholarship and moved to Austin, Texas, where I earned my Bachelor of Social Work from St. Edward's University in 2025 and my Master of Science in Social Work from The University of Texas at Austin in 2026.Throughout my training and professional experience, I have worked with diverse populations across nonprofit, educational and medical settings. My experience includes supporting immigrant and refugee women and girls through GirlForward, working with students and families through Communities in Schools, and providing psychosocial support to patients and families at Dell Children's Medical Center in the Congenital Heart Disease and Cardiac Care Unit. These experiences deepened my passion for helping individuals and families navigate grief, loss, adjustment, and life transitions. In addition to my clinical work, I have contributed to social work research as a data analyst and literature reviewer with the Children's Bureau's AdoptUSKids research team. My published work has focused on LGBTQIA+ youth in foster care, educational barriers, and diversity, equity, and inclusion initiatives. In August 2026, I joined PMS as a Mental Health Therapist.
