Pre-K in New Mexico

Early Childhood Education Options

Head Start Application

We are dedicated to fostering the growth and development of young children during their critical early years. Our programs focus on creating a strong foundation for academic, social, and emotional success. Among our range of offerings, our Pre-K programs across New Mexico stand out for its ability to prepare children for the transition into kindergarten an beyond. With high-quality curriculum, parental support, and a nurturing environment, our program provides children and families with the tools they need to thrive.

Pre-K for Academic Readiness

Our Pre-K program is designed for 4-year-old children who are preparing to enter kindergarten the following year. Supported by New Mexico's voluntary Pre-K initiative, we provide developmentally appropriate activities that encourage curiosity, creativity, and confidence. The curriculum emphasizes early literacy, numeracy, and social skills, giving children the head start they need for academic success.

Through structured learning and play-based activities, children in our program grow their ability to explore, solve problems, and work well with others. By the time they enter kindergarten, participants are well-prepared to take on the challenges and excitement of formal education.

Parental Participation and Support

Families play a crucial role in a child's early learning. Our Pre-K program places a strong focus on parental involvement, helping families become active participants in their child’s education. Whether it’s through classroom activities, parent-teacher partnerships, or other tailored workshops, our programs are designed to provide parents with the resources and knowledge to support their child’s learning at home.

We also strive to help parents feel more confident and connected in their role as their child’s primary teacher. This collaborative approach focuses not only the success of the child but also on strengthening bonds within the family unit.

A Holistic Approach to Development and Learning

Our Pre-K program doesn’t just focus on academics—it also nurtures children’s emotional and physical well-being. By addressing each child's health, wellness, and developmental needs, we are able to create an environment where they can flourish, both in and out of the classroom.

With the collaborative support of educators, parents, and healthcare providers, children are set on a path for lifelong success. Presbyterian Medical Services has been serving families in our community for years, helping them access high-quality early education and family support. Our programs are all tailored to meet the diverse needs of the families we serve.
