About Amy
I have been a licensed therapist since 2017. I graduated from The University of Phoenix in 2017 with a Master of Science in Community Mental Health. I relocated from Tucson, Arizona to Socorro, New Mexico six years ago. I have been involved in community mental health since 2006, ranging from a community support worker to case manager, to intake clinician. Having a family member who was diagnosed at a young age with a serious mental illness, mental wellbeing has become my life's work and passion.
I was involved in teaching first-year medical students at the University of Arizona about what barriers patients and family members encounter when they seek help from medical professionals. Community Mental health is a passion of mine. I have been employed by Presbyterian Medical Services for over two years as an independently licensed therapist and Clinical Supervisor. Helping and teaching others is where I have found my life's purpose. I specialize in Sand Tray techniques and DBT skills with adults and children.
