About Sierra

I am a mother, advocate, and mental health professional from Gallup, New Mexico. I earned a B.A. in Global and Intercultural Studies from Calvin University in 2006, and a Master of Social Work from the University of St. Thomas and St. Catherine University in 2013. My first seven years as a clinician were spent in a community-based non-profit in Saint Paul, MN, where I worked with individuals of all ages and facilitated a Native-specific therapeutic group on family resilience. My professional lens is trauma-focused and I like to integrate somatic (body-based) healing with psychological and spiritual experiences as part of individual healing.
